NA - plate in boot on passenger side that holds the jack handle - what's the tab for?
Anyone able to advise what the tab on the backing plate on the passenger side of the back of the boot is for? Looks almost like it would be for an electrical connection - perhaps an earth point?

Aftermarket for sure. Looks pretty homemade and neither my AU nor JDM NA's had it.

Someone has pop riveted that on. Is not a factory fit clip / tab
